A big hello to all my lovely friends!! Hope you guys are doing fine. :D Sorry to keep you waiting. More new designs are coming up next week!!! Right nowadays so many people are using smart phone, and guess what??? I have also came out with accessories for that too!!! :D I just love exploring all possibility to come up with something fun for everyone.
Lastly here is my new baby adopted him from my friend. His name is Darwin. :D Remember the main character of the guinea pigs from the movie G-Force. That's his name. :D If you are trying to guess why is there wording behind him. That is a shirt stays. Shirt stays are for men or lady shirts with collars, normally come in a pair. You can slip these things in on both side of your collars and they will remain straight. :) Pretty good gift as well. :) Sorry to post them only after Valentine's Day because I received my materials pretty late from overseas. :) Hope you will like the new designs soon. Sweet kitty necklace. I have made a few series of it playing with different colors. :) She is such a sweet little girl. She loves to play in the garden surrounded with beautiful flowers. I have painted her and lacquered so that she looks as if she has dirtied herself while playing in the garden.

What I love about this necklace is that the teardrop swarovski crystal is dangling on its legs. Making the overall design looks really elegant especially when the chain is made of freshwater pearls. They are wire wrapped by me.

The length of this wire wrapped freshwater pearls together with the extension chain is 47cm.

How is everyone doing lately? I hope you guys are doing fine. :) Been a bit busy lately with events. The next upcoming one will be on the 17th and 18th December 2011 held at Hong Lim Park, Telok Ayer CC from 10am - 9pm. Wondering what event is that? MediaCorp is collaborating with Flare and AFA(Actions for Aids) on this event that highlights the message of fostering and strengthening a more harmonious community through entertainment. It is a meaningful event and there will be many fun activities for that 2 days. Do join us and have fun together.

Simple and easy to match peridot owl locket necklace. :) I pretty much like this myself because I really look at the real picture of owls and envision what colors I might really see on them. The eyes are made from swarovski crystals and the teardrop stone dangle on the feather is peridot.

All these are hand painted and sealed by me. Can you see the bottom layer of the locket a bit greenish in color? The reason why I did that is because owl is found in the forest and the tree is green. :)

Another favorite of mine. I love the overall layout of the whole design. The background, dolphin, leaves, flower, seashells, dragonfly and mermaid are all hand painted and then sealed with lacquer by me. Lot of tedious work but very happy with the result. :D The background is blue because this mermaid is in the ocean. She is surrounded with many beautiful nature around her such as dolphin, dragonflies, seashells, flower and AB+ swarovski chain to show that everything around her sparkles. :) She is probably near the shore that is why she notice that there is a big dragonfly nearby her.

More New Hand Painted Jewelry

Dear all my lovely friends. Here are my new collections that I have been talking about since last month. Even though these designs may look simple but then they are not easy to create. Most of these designs taken more than a day to complete. Every pieces are hand painted by me and then lacquer not just the charms but also the background to bring life to my new creations. Let me explain just a short process of how these creations being made so you will know what exactly you are buying. :) These creations taken alot more time to complete because they need longer drying time, painting, glueing and then lacquering them to prevent the paint from coming off. If you notice the paint they even have 2 tones on them. The reason why I like them to have 2 tones because they look more realistic. One tone will still look pretty dull. I have used many kind of mixed media on my work pieces so that it makes my designs harder to be copied and I definitely love to explore new techniques all time.

Tada!! here they are.

Last few days since Friday 4th Nov 2011 morning, I have been a bit upset and moody because my dearest girl (syrian hamster) was sick plus old age and then passed away in the afternoon about 1:45pm. Sorry I know I am not supposed to include here on my work. Just that I like to have keep her as part of my memories on my website. Do you know the reason why I am able to create all the beautiful pieces, is all because of my pets around me. Seeing them happy and being a mummy to them always make my life seem so much livelier. It is because of them I feel so inspired of my work because they always keep me happy. I have tried my very best to save Rachel. The vet even told me her chances of survival is pretty slim. :( I am glad when she died I was with her, she was lying on my hand. I sincerely pray that she will has a better next life. She has been such a dearest baby to me. Good bye Rachel and you know mummy always love you.

As what I have promised everyone. I have came up with more new designs. Have not been lazying, in fact working hard every night. I enjoy very much bringing surprises for all of you. Hope you guys love it!! Give me some time to slowly upload them, ok? :) Beside these designs I am showing you guys, more are coming up soon!!! Are they colorful enough? :D They look more lively with colors, don't you guys agree?

For those of you who love heart shape pendants with magical fairies, mermaids and mystical beings, they will be coming up very soon. They are one of my best selling designs. If you love any of them please grab them as I will not be able to make them anymore because the pendant itself will no longer be manufactured. Do not worry I will always be sourcing for new materials to bring you more new designs. If any of you like to wear locket necklaces. Wink! Wink! I have them as well!! :) Locket necklaces can be a very memorable gift for someone special.

Sparkling Snow Flakes Tutorial

While I was crafting for my new project, I came to discover something interesting. That is how to make sparkling snow flakes!! Wanna learn how to make your own snow flakes? What you need are three simple supplies. Tear a small size of aluminium foil pour some white iridescent or diamond glitter and then small amount of Mod Podge (Gloss Finish). Mix them well. Once you get the consistency you wanted. Dab them on 10 of your fingers. Hehe ... Pretty fun as well while you doing nothing and watching TV. :) Once it is dry on your fingers, you will notice the Mod Podge will become translucent. Peel them off slowly from your fingers. Notice how beautiful they are? You can also tear them to a smaller size.:)
The rest of the ideas up to you what you wanna do with them. :) I might experiment few techniques what I can do with them. :)

They are wire wrapped by me.

Are you guys ready for the surprise? Do you know nowadays bib necklaces are getting very popular? They are also very elegant designs. Wearing them for special occasion such as dinner and party. They stand out a lot even if you dress something simple. :)
If you notice my designs are a bit expensive, it is because most of the materials are imported from oversea and they are of high quality plating. Some of the designs are also a bit tedious as a lot of painting need to be done and very time consuming. I love my designs to be colorful than just from the natural charm itself. Don't you guys agree and wanting something different?

Hand Painted Metal Leaves!!!

Taaadaa!!!! These leaves will be used on my new designs soon!!! They are all hand painted by me. What do you think of them? I think everyone like their jewelry pieces to look natural. :) I do as well. It is a bit more work because after painting them you need to wait for them to dry, before you can seal them. How To Make Plate Mold And Miniature Plate

There are many brands of mold maker out there. Choose the one you like best.
Here is the one I am using "Knead-a-Mold" but then I find that if never used for a long period of time, it takes longer for the mold to harden and does not work so well anymore. There are some takes only few minutes or few hours. Mix equal portion of the mold before kneading them.

Once you feel that they are well mixed, get a miniature plate you like and mold the base of it. Instead of the plate facing upward on the mold, make it lays back as in the mold facing top but the plate is at the base. Use a cookie cutter if you like to make the mold look nicer so that it forms a shape.Here is how it looks like when the mold is dry. Remove the mold from the cookie cutter and then bend the mold to remove the plate.
Flatten a piece of clay to a very thin sheet. You can also use a pasta machine and cookie cutter to cut a slightly smaller circle. I am using freehand as demo. Use a large ball point tool to make the clay look even on the mold. There are many types of clay you can use. The one I am using here is air dry clay. Benefit of using this type of clay is because after it dries on the mold, it forms a very nice shape. Bad point about it you cannot add in bit by bit of clay like you did with polymer clay. When you remove polymer clay from the mold, the shape is flatten because it needs to be baked. So the choice is still up to you. :)Here is the end result of the air dry clay. You can also paint the plate with acrylic paint once it is completely dry. :)Hope you like this tutorial and more coming up soon. :)
